Sonic Branding, Original Music & Sound Design for Commercial Campaign
LS2 Helmets commissioned Irradian Sound to develop the sonic branding, original music composition, sound design, field recordings, and final mix for a series of commercial films presenting different models from the brand’s helmet collection. The campaign consisted of four distinct advertisements, each tailored to a specific type of rider and lifestyle — from urban commuters and high-speed enthusiasts to road riders and younger audiences discovering the brand.
Bespoke Sonic Identity for a Multi-Film Campaign
Our role focused on creating a cohesive sonic identity capable of unifying the campaign while allowing each commercial to express its own personality. Through bespoke music composition and sound design, we developed four original scores that responded directly to the visual rhythm and narrative of each film, translating the spirit of every helmet model into a distinct sonic language.
Sound Design Integrated Within the Musical Composition
A key aspect of the project was the integration of sound design directly within the musical composition. Rather than treating music and sound effects as separate layers, both elements were developed simultaneously to create a single sonic structure. Field recordings and handcrafted sound design elements were combined with the musical framework to reinforce motion, energy, and material presence on screen.
Crafting a Cohesive Sonic Brand Language
All sounds were created from scratch without relying on sound libraries, allowing Irradian Sound to design a bespoke sonic palette aligned with LS2’s brand identity. The final mix unified music, sound design, and recorded elements into a cohesive audiovisual experience that strengthens the campaign’s impact while maintaining consistency across the four commercials.
