HYPERGIANT
Sound Design & Mix for Product Film (HUD Helmet / Project Orion)
Territory Studio commissioned Irradian Sound to create the sound design and final mix for the product film introducing the HUD Helmet — Project Orion for Hypergiant. Conceived as a high-end technological showcase, the piece required a sonic approach capable of simulating the product’s presence and functionality with cinematic clarity and credibility.
Designing a Sonic Prototype for a Fictionalized Product Experience
Our work focused on building a convincing “product simulation” through sound: interface feedback, mechanical detail, signal behavior, and motion cues designed to feel precise, tactile, and believable. Rather than relying on sound libraries, we created every element from scratch — combining digitally crafted sound design with a bespoke sonic palette tailored to the film’s visual language and the product’s futuristic identity.
Sound Design and Mixing for a High-Tech Visual World
As the postproduction was led by Territory Studio, our sound work needed to integrate seamlessly with the film’s graphics and cinematic pacing. Through careful mixing and spatial balance, we shaped depth, clarity, and cohesion across the full sequence, ensuring that the sound supported both the narrative flow and the technical sophistication of the piece.
A Cohesive Sonic Identity for Emerging Technology
The final result is a refined audiovisual experience where sound design reinforces the sense of advanced technology and product realism — delivering a distinctive sonic identity aligned with the world of Hypergiant and the cinematic standards of Territory Studio’s work.
